Preparing for Spring/Summer 2014 February 21 2014 2 Comments

Dear Carlet Edmonds scarf lovers,

We are hard at work preparing for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 photoshoot.

Designer Marjie and I finalized clothing options as well as went shopping yesterday for a few more pieces!

How awesome is it that it is our job to shop?

Every girls dream!

Racks and racks of clothes, accessories, shoes, hair and make up!

Right now I am working hard on the final looks for every model for this weekends shoot and I am getting more excited.

Being able to pick out outfits and inspiration for looks is incredibly fun. But, don't get me wrong it is a lot of work!

It's a blessing when working hard can be so fun!

A lot of the time you don't think about the work that goes into a photoshoot. You only see the fabulous end product which is the photos.

Let me tell you, there is A LOT of details in preparing for this.

My job is to contact all the models, confirm time, location and date. Get their sizes for tops, bottoms and shoes. Go over headshots to see what looks would fit best for them.

Search high and low for wardrobe. Find the right sizes for each model for each look.

Confirm again with models to bring specific things to the shoot.

Hang up the looks on the wardrobe rack complete with models names and accessories. Also, steam & iron if necessary.

The day of the shoot I pack it all up, including the wardrobe rack and set up all over again at the location!

The models will get hair and make up done and the shoot will be under way and Designer Marjie and I will match the Carlet Edmonds scarves to each look.

I can't wait to share with you what the Carlet Edmonds Spring/Summer 2014 scarves look like and debut the finished photos!

Hard work pays off.

For now, make sure you check us out on Facebook!

With Love from your Carlet Edmonds Styling Director,
